Bio
I'm a food and travel writer based in Belmont Hills, a great little neighborhood right outside of Philadelphia. I started in the business as a feature writer and editor for weekly newspapers, but found that I was much better suited to freelancing - which I've been doing for 17 years. I try to bring my natural curiosity about people, places and food to life in my work. I love to travel and I'm always fascinated with the connection between culture and food. My work is published regularly in a wide range of national and regional outlets, including National Geographic Traveler, USAirways Magazine, Voyageur, the Boston Globe, Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News, the Jewish Exponent, Good Life, Lifestyle Magazine, Elegant Wedding, Pennsylvania Wine & Spirits, Physicians' Travel & Meeting Guide, www.smarterliving.com, www.mobiltravelguide.com, http://intelliguide.com, www.bizbash.com, www.nassauparadiseisland.com and others. I've written and co-authored several books, including Must Sees New Orleans (Michelin), the City Tavern Cookbook (Running Press), Access Philadelphia, Access New Orleans (Harper Collins) and Impress for Less! Finally, Terrific Recipes From the Finest Restaurants You Can Really Make At Home (Wiley & Sons, 2007). I'm a member of the Society of American Travel Writers, and I currently serve as vice-chair of the Atlantic Caribbean chapter. I am also a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors.
